Parkville Nature Sanctuary and White Alloe Creek Conservation Area
Well-marked dirt trails lead past streams, waterfalls, limestone outcroppings and wooded bluffs. After your hike, grab coffee, lunch or candy in Downtown Parkville.
Hidden Valley Park
Walk under a thick forest canopy along the ridges of a steep ravine in Kansas City North.
Mill Creek Streamway: Nelson Island
This 17-mile long trail traverses Johnson County from Olathe in the south to the Kansas River in the north. All of the trail is worth walking, but Nelson Island – right on the river – is a special place.
