Kansas City: Flat as a pancake?

The conventional wisdom about our region is bogus.

The Midwest, including our part of it, is often characterized as monotonous flyover country. But there’s more here than meets the eye, as this video reveals. Towering bluffs crown the Missouri River. Monolithic limestone cliffs and boulders cling to hillsides. Clear streams cascade into numerous watersheds. In addition, four full seasons give us 360 degrees of nature. Don’t take the skeptic’s word for it: Kansas City is home for hiking.
